Heaven Helpers was started by Louise McNiven in 2003 following a successful career in corporate communications.
Her love of cleaning started as a child when she used to help her Grandmother who always insisted that "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well."
Having had many cleaners over the years and always knowing she could do it better, she set up Heaven Helpers with a friend who was in similar circumstances to herself. They wanted a business which focussed on quality, rather than quantity.
Louise says, "We we first set up, we were very lucky to know someone who worked for the Nottingham Post and they covered the business with an article in the Weekend section, affectionately calling us 'The Posh Cleaners'. We think this was because we both had lovely homes and knew how to care for beautiful things."
The business was built purely through word of mouth after securing the first publicity and new clients and went from strength to strength after that.
Whilst Louise's friend sadly had to leave the business to care for her own family, Heaven Helpers continues to grow today, with six wonderful 'helpers' and many reliant clients who have worked with Louise's team for over 10 years.
